MTA stands for “Mountaintop Assessment”. This fee is billed annually and covers common expenses such as Public Safety, Fire, Shuttle, etc. It is calculated by multiplying a property’s assessed value by 1.5%. Some HOA’s include the MTA with HOA dues and pay it on behalf of the homeowner. Some HOA’s do not do this and the homeowner gets billed directly.
